That is not a mistake. However, we missed the fact that this dependency
cannot be satisfied on older Ubuntu releases. I guess we'll provide a
backport of the d3 package too. ASAP.

Thanks for the report -- this kind of feedback is very much appreciated
and helps to cope with the complexity of the software ecosystem.
