I'm sorry I won't go through this, as it would mean sidetracking my
current todo-list quite considerably.
My personal focus for my work on the site is on getting it socially
useful rather than technically bleeding-edge. Of course we can try to
accomodate different agendas, but I personally won't touch or deploy
anything that depends on stuff not available on stable+backports.

Sounds good. And as the two codebases mature and get established over
time, we can even consider delegating bits to each other.
