[newmaint-site] Has anyone thought of badges?

My vision for contributors.debian.org is that is should be a
nonjudgemental website listing all contributors on an equal level.

I also would like to keep contributors.debian.org technically and
conceptually simple, because I think that the social dynamics around it
already add a lot of critical complexity to it: think privacy, identity
management, tradeoffs in data mining.

I'm happy if people go on and implement a badge system for Debian; I
imagine that such a service is much easier to implement given that
contributors.debian.org can be used as an identity backend.
