[newmaint-site] Language chooser issues

Hello,

wRAR reported an issue with the language chooser on IRC:

#debian-newmaint < wRAR> nm.d.o is not working in my Opera because of the invisible div#langselector 
                         apparently being overlayed above all links

#debian-newmaint < enrico> wRAR: I'll look into it in a couple of hours, unless you need to access it 
                           urgently
#debian-newmaint < wRAR> no hurry, and I have other browsers anyway
#debian-newmaint < wRAR> chrome seems to work, though there is some set of elements for a split second 
                         after the page loads, then it disappears

I'm considering trying a form per language, with a submit button
specially styled to blend with the text:

I'll do it as soon as I have a moment tonight or tomorrow, if nobody
