Initial Comment:
The RPM spec files in the 2.2.0 tarball currently have "2.0" as part of the version number (for the Source URL, in particular). This should be fixed in at least the generic-rpm directory.

Also, there are probably a few outdated patches (e.g. IPv6) in the official RedHat spec file directory.
