Using SWIG would facilitate easier generation of high-level language bindings for accessing the state of NUT-controlled UPSes.

Charles,

I think we can now close this one.
we have the Python binding for the client access and soon for the config.
maybe the only remaining point linked is to check (and possibly update) the Perl binding.

Can you please check that and close the request if possible, or otherwise comment.
