You just did tracked the right patch ;)
Alioth (Fusion Forge) is still a bit rude...
I've committed it as r3829 with a few modifications:
- I've bumped the driver version to 0.26 and added you to the author list,
- I've made a few indentation fixes,
- I've added an entry in the HCL (data/driver.list)

The latest patch is powerpanel_patch.diff
I am not very familiar with Alioth, sorry for the confusion. :-) For future reference, is there any way to remove an obsolete patch or at least mark it as such so that this does not happen again?

Timothy,
thanks for your patches.
which one is the right one in the end?
I guess cyberpower_olrm_patch.diff, but would like a confirmation

Use this patch instead of the prior two-patch sequence.
It appears that under certain conditions the UPS can send out a drastically shortened, yet still valid, status string. This patch ignores short reads as long as at least one byte was read from the UPS.

This patch should be applied after cyberpower_olrm_patch.diff; it corrects an issue caused by the fact that this UPS can output a variable-length status string.
