[Openstack-devel] Bug#682671: novnc: when installing opennebula novnc gets installed and does not find user/group nova

Package: novnc
Version: 2012.1~e3+dfsg-1
Severity: normal

Dear Ghe,

On installing OpenNebula via:

cloudmaster:~# apt-get install opennebula opennebula-sunstone

I get:

python-novnc (2012.1~e3+dfsg-1) wird eingerichtet ...
novnc (2012.1~e3+dfsg-1) wird eingerichtet ...
chown: ungültiger Benutzer: „nova“
Starting OpenStack NoVNC proxy : nova-novncproxystart-stop-daemon: group 'nova' not found

(ungültiger Benutzer means invalid user)

Is there a way to make novnc cleanly installable without OpenStack's nova and
its user/group?

I thought this might be related to

novnc: Split package to remove dependency on nova-common
http://bugs.debian.org/675850

But seems already be done:

cloudmaster:~# dpkg -l | grep novnc
ii novnc 2012.1~e3+dfsg-1 HTML5 VNC client
ii python-novnc 2012.1~e3+dfsg-1 HTML5 VNC client - libraries

(bug reported on my workstation while opennebula is installed to the
cloudmaster VM)

Thanks,
Martin
