I would say that it should produce well-formed Docbook XML.

asciidoc just looks like the right thing (I hadn't see its plugin before).

I'm wondering how all this may be useful to what has been described by Manoj 
on debian-devel. IMHO we should definitely ask him what he thinks about.

/me is both waiting for the git repository and studying how it works.
