readlink -e does not work with woody readlink, since 
woody readlink is debianutils readlink.
It has -f option, but no -e option.

sarge/sid readlink -e is probably equivalent to -f.

./readlink: invalid option -- e
usage: readlink [-n] [-f] symlink


(erm... but I don't get the same output as you, which version
are you using?)
