(downgrading after discussion that it's possible to clean after build
and that it's not a pbuilder defect not to do so)
We could also implement a custom clean in pbuilder just like much stuff
is already implemented within pbuilder itself -- passing -tc to dpkg-bp
by default and allowing people to override it might be more complex.

At a high level, this is probably true. At a lower level, you can do
this with hooks, but if we were to enable such a hook by default we
would lack a way to disable hooks: we could set hookdir to some
pbuilder dir, but that would force people to divert for all pbuilder
hooks even if they only want to disable one.
Perhaps we simply need a new option then and special case running
lintian, just like debuild does.

These are dpkg-buildpackage options. (I find the name slightly
confusing too.)
