Hi,

I opened this one because I think it's a bit orthogonal. Having a
mounted /sys makes it (as far as I can tell) impossible to create a
base tarball (because its contents change when it's accessed, which
tar doesn't like).

Making it possible to have /dev* or /proc mounted in the build
environment (e.g. by adjusting the mount syntax, maybe making it
conditional, depending on whether we're on Linux) is another issue,
reported in #542837; which is by the way on top of my todolist: I
always have a tab pointing to it in my web browser so that I don't
forget about it. I'm also tracking issues with schroot, which are very
closely related (I have some weird behaviour in “mount”).

I'll keep you posted as soon as I have something to add for that other
bug.

Mraw,
KiBi.
