One of the reasons is that I will have to learn how to use Git :)
For the present, my knowledge of actually working with Git is
limited to "git clone URL" and "git pull" :> I could try to do

Or, if you mean just a series of patches that you could apply to
your Git repository, I can try to do that later tonight or tomorrow -
I'll just take the diffs from successive revisions of my own Subversion
repo and store them in separate files for your review.
