Thanks for the pointer. I'm new to these tools, so any help is welcome.

This is the result of

$ cdebootstrap --debug --include=apt --variant=buildd sid .
ftp://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian > cdebootstrap.log

(The command issues by pbuilder, with --debug added)

The output is:
E: Internal error: install

The log is attached.

It looks like libtimedate-perl is causing trouble.

Do you need more information?
