there is not the --update bits.
And here the aptitude resolver just works (after the --update, since i
don't use that one usually)

sorry, not sure i understand this sentence...

grave means "makes the package in question unusable or mostly so, or
causes data loss, or introduces a security hole allowing access to the
accounts of users who use the package.".
This is not since pbuilder ships other resolvers, just use one of them
until the bug gets fixed. Or is there a particular reason why you want
to use the gdebi one?
