I do too, but this can't work for non-interactive usage.
One can make a C hook to print a given file to stdout/stderr, but it's
indeed handier to give that file as an artifact of the build.

yeah.
though I need to start using random strings for new options soon /o\
(= pbuilderrc(5) is already quite crowded)
