Gents,
NDA issues will no longer be my worry. I have decided to hand over PCProxy to
Jeroen and I withdraw completely from any -dev group. If something relatively
simple like this takes over a year to be organized, I don't feel any need to
be associated with Vatsim in any way, shape of form.
The PCProxy website has the announcement:
13 mar 2005: PCPROXY HANDED OVER TO JEROEN HOPPENBROUWERS: After repeated
attempts from a large group of developers to get more clarity about the
VATSIM Non-Disclosure Agreement (which needs to be signed by us before we
get any insight in protocol changes), nothing appears to have changed and
we are still at the same place as where we have been a for a long time.
After some personal deliberation and consultation of Jeroen
Hoppenbrouwers, I have decided to withdraw any support from Vatsim. I am
handing over the PCProxy code base to Jeroen and I wish him all the best
with further development and with battling the
Vatsim-Power-That-Need-To-Be.
I will remain the maintainer of PCProxy's Debian package.
Jeroen's home page can be found at www.hoppie.nl
Feel free to forward this to the vatsim powers.
