This is because the Cherry KC 1000 SC is a composite USB device. The same
device has a HID interface for the keyboard and a CCID interface for the
smart card reader.

The hotplug mechanism calls the CCID driver for all the interfaces. And of
course the driver does not support the HID interface. Hence the errors you
see.

I could change the CCID driver and PCSC-lite to avoid logging errors in
this case.
I created a new bug [1]. I have no idea when I will work on that.
