There is already a TODO list in the Debian sources [1]. It was quite
personal for now, so if you think it needs clarification or something
more formal go for it.

Another way would be to use Debian wiki (e.g. [2] and [3]).

Regarding x.8 (now x.8.1 :-) please go ahead. I'd like x.7.7 to
transition to testing and I think it might require some uploads again
(e.g. to have it compile on Debian GNU/kFreeBSD). But we can use
experimental for x.8.1.
