Hi,

| Hello all,
|
| I'm amazed things are evolving so fast :-)
|
| Maybe in a week or so we'll have an up-to-date ACE+TAO!

Ok, for 34 I did ask some questions through bugzilla, seems this is not a
real good maintainable patch

| Johnny refers to the following bug submitted a while ago:
| http://bugzilla.dre.vanderbilt.edu/show_bug.cgi?id=3408
|
| The patch 34 in Debian is indeed a crude hack that neeeds to be tweaked
| with every new ACE+TAO release. I think the proposed approach is much
| more cleaner, and using a variation of patch available at
| http://bugzilla.dre.vanderbilt.edu/attachment.cgi?id=1001 should
| do.
|
| Johnny, indeed I think we still need this: we want to be able to use TAO
| packages without having to install -dev packages, or without the need for
| a symlink. The latter would prevent installing separate versions of TAO
| libraries at the same time - which, I agree, is unlikely to happen.
|
| What do you think?
