[Pkg-ace-devel] ACE+TAO open tasks

Hello,

Here's a list of tasks that I feel would improve ACE+TAO packages:
 - Switch packaging to quilt and new Debian format 3.0 (quilt) [1]
   Gains:
     * no need to repackage upstream .tar.bz2 in a .tar.gz
     * should make packaging easier
 - Package ACE INet library
 - Switch repo to git instead of ACE
   Gains:
     * allows off-line work
     * could be used to store upstream source
 - Define and implement a Debian CORBA policy. Would need to be
   discussed with pkg-corba-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org as well
 - Possibliy related to previous item: provide script to start and stop
   TAO services
 - Use symbol files for libraries[2][3]

Anything else? Anyone interested?

This list could be stored on the wiki[4]. What do you think?
