I use git+ssh://git.debian.org/git/pkg-ace/pkg-ace for write access
without any problem. The URL has not changed for write access, but
it did for read access[0], the new URL are supposed to be:

  git://anonscm.debian.org/pkg-ace/pkg-ace.git
  http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-ace/pkg-ace.git;a=summary

for read-only access and gitweb respectively.

It did work when I uploaded ace 6.0.1-2. But now I can't access gitweb,
and read-only access seems to stall.

Since you need write access you may have found a problem in the Alioth
changes; there is a list of known issues at [1] but I could not find
yours. The debian-devel mailing list discusses these. #alioth may help.
