(and probable misuse of debconf)

Package: aide
Version: 0.11a-4
Severity: minor
Hi,
In debian/aide.config:
db_input normal aideinit/warnnew || true
"normal" is not a valid priority, it should be medium.
However, I would merge the copynew and warnnew templates, to minimize
prompting and allow the user to know exactly what is the choice for the
copynew boolean template.
In the current situation, it's a bit like:
- you have to pay $10, do you want to pay now?
- no
- ok, you have to pay $100 tomorrow.
I would rephrase the copynew template as following:
_Description: Copy aide.db.new to aide.db?
It is advisable for you to first look over /var/lib/aide/aide.db.new
file before replacing the existing db. You can have the package
replace the database anyway here.
.
If you do not choose this option, you will need to copy the file
/var/lib/aide/aide.db.new to /var/lib/aide/aide.db before aide can
use it.
and remove the warnnew template.
Cheers,
