[Pkg-aide-maintainers] lenny+aide: feedback

Hello

i have switched from etch to lenny since about two weeks ago and as i
checked security stuff, i observed some problem with Aide package.

* there are more rules than before and some complements are necessary. i
will send them to you when i have finished this part

* more annoying, Aide seems a lot more slower than before: it tooks at
least a whole day to initialize with default setup. same if i switch to
md5 checksum only and the box is a Virtual Machine with 8GB disk half-empty.
i killed process after 1 or 2 days.
(for information, previous check took only 20 min)


any ideas why it is so slow ?
for now, i'm blocked as i can't initialize my database in an acceptable
time.
