Hi Joey,

Thanks for the report and apologies for the delay in any response.

My kids play atanks all the time, in fact it is one of their favourites, which 
surprised me as it doesn't rely on fancy 3D,

Anyway, I haven't seen the problem you have reported.

We do quite often see projectiles go off the screen, but they always return 
and do serious damange..

There is a comment in /usr/share/debian/atanks/BUGS:
- Game freezes when missile reaches zenith (no vertical velocity component)
     This appears to be a bug in allegro and has been fixed in 4.1.11.

Which sounds like your problem, but you appear to be running allegro 4.2.

Unfortunately upstream has pretty much concluded development, there is a 
1.5.1a (alpha) release, but I'm a bit hesitant to bring that into Debian at 
this stage.

Tom, I know it is a long shot, but do you have any suggestions?
