[Pkg-audacious-maintainers] 563247 - Still crashes

Greetings.

I've just run aptitude update; aptitude purge audacious; aptitude
install audacious2. I'm running Sid on amd64 (Acer Aspire 5720).

In the XFCE multimedia menu i have audacious and audacious (GTKui)
even though i don't seem to have any GTK-related packages installed:

 dpkg -l |grep audacious
ii  audacious                            2.3-2
ii  audacious-plugins                    2.3-2+b1
ii  libaudclient2                        2.3-2
ii  libaudcore1                          2.3-2
ii  libaudid3tag2                        2.3-2

The audacious link doesn't run, only the gtkui link does. If i run it
in the terminal under a normal user i get this:
$ audacious
Floating point exception
$ audacious2
Floating point exception

If in the console i run audacious under root, i get this:

# audacious

** (audacious:11834): WARNING **: Failed to connect to the session
manager: Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication
protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed

(audacious:11834): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid (NULL) pointer instance
(audacious:11834): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_signal_emit_valist:
assertion `G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed
(audacious:11834): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid (NULL) pointer instance
(audacious:11834): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_signal_emit_valist:
assertion `G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed
(audacious:11834): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid (NULL) pointer instance
(audacious:11834): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_signal_emit_valist:
assertion `G_TYPE_CHECK_INSTANCE (instance)' failed

But it does run and plays mp3 and ogg. The open file dialog doesnt
show my remote folders though (i.e. shows two levels up only).

Running gdb under a normal user i get this:

(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/audacious
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
[New Thread 0x7fffeeccd710 (LWP 11933)]
[New Thread 0x7fffe4ae0710 (LWP 11934)]

Program received signal SIGFPE, Arithmetic exception.
0x00007fffe7633d2e in ?? () from /usr/lib/audacious/General/skins.so

...which seems to make some sense, since the GTK skin does work and
the native one doesn't.

I have another Sid amd64 (desktop with an Asus M2NPV-VM mobo) which
runs audacious with no problems[1], no GTK interface; here's its
package list:

# dpkg -l |grep audacious
ii  audacious                             2.3-2
ii  audacious-plugins                     2.3-2+b1
ii  libaudclient2                         2.3-2
ii  libaudcore1                           2.3-2
ii  libaudid3tag2                         2.3-2

Exact same list.

Feel free to ask some more stuff.

Cheers,
Nuno

[1] i haven't run audacious in two weeks since i haven't managed to
set up XDMCP from the laptop yet and am restrained at the moment, but
i haven't touched the desktop's multimedia packages.
