Oh, good point.  I gotta change the logic of the routines to only warn, 
not leave any cruft behind when not in DEB_MAINTAINER_MODE.

Hmm - probably sane to simply remove copyright_newhints in clean:: when 
DEB_MAINTAINER_MODE not set.

Tell me what you think, but please leave it to me to actually fix it, as 
I reuse same scripts across multiple packages (until eventually I am 
fully satisfied with them and include them in CDBS officially).

If you have other comments/concerns about those custom CDBS routines 
please do speak up about it.  :-)
