Yes, this bug is very old, but marked as fixed in the changelog.

Steps to reproduce :

# aptitude install awstats
# echo 'Include "/etc/awstats/awstats.conf"' > 
/etc/awstats/awstats.mysite.conf
# /usr/share/doc/awstats/examples/awstats_buildstaticpages.pl 
-config=mysite -awstatsprog=/etc/awstats/ >/dev/null
