Ah, so you do use a custom setup - which then fails and mine don't.

Try test if not using a custom setup fails too.

You are welcome to have a look at my scripts if you like, I run 
dpkg-buildpackage inside debuild inside pbuilder inside chroot using 
cowdancer.

   git clone git://source.jones.dk/bin

(not all of those scripts are relevant - try e.g. this:

   localcowbuilder-create sid
   localgitcowdebuild sid
