We do not have this in our institute but since the real big data is
hardware independent, we can scp it there.

Concerning the size requested in another email, my subset of
bioconductor for Intel (no CRAN mirror, no CRAN debs but some metadata
for GO and KEGG) is close to 300MB. With CRAN on top we are above half a
gig.

moeller@pzr3:~$ du -sh public_html/debian/bioconductor/
269M public_html/debian/bioconductor/

I am not so much worried about the disk capacity but about my university
complaining about an increase in international traffic that I cannot
estimate. An update by 4000 people every second month would make a
monthly 1 Terabyte of traffic. It would be nice if we found a commercial
company sponsoring this in exchange for an increased publicity, though
we shou If it is too much traffic for a university, then this is either
embarld start - somewhere.
