Not a bad start. If we get commitment between these items we will get up and

It is R CMD CHECK, which we automatically invoked on the (core) packages that
r-recommended depends on ... and had to disable as some the tests are too
tight for some of our weirder build arches. On i386 and amd64 alone it may
work.   But CRAN itself is running it nightly on three different R flavours
(release, patch, devel) so we could screen-scrape that or share the
information with them. They run that on a Debian box, by the way.
