I'm also thinking of separating these bits of information from the
source... will get back on this. BTW, I saw something about the .deb
possibly getting uploaded to a repository, but could not find info on
how to use that repository...

It feels good to be able to contribute some more code to this project.

BTW, if I would hack up a debian/ for a particular CRAN package, are
there people on this list who could sponsor it for NEW?
