[pkg-bioc] issues with pbuilder circumvented

Dear David,

the problems that occurred with latest pbuilder release are with
the --bindmounts option. These are not released a build failures, so my
hunch.

What I have done locally is to set up apache to server the
{cran,bioc-2.1,omegahat}/builds folders and added these as deb http packages
to /etc/apt/sources.list, substituing the deb file:// ../builds directives
and also omitting the --bindmounts. This seems to work. I could upload a
whole lot of cran the day after and 1953 packages were reported to have
worked on. The builds directories of bioc-2.1 and omegahat however were
deleted and although the screen output lists several successful builds, these
are all gone. I presume some weird bug in the scripts here, like rm -r
builds/$package with [ -z "$package" ].

My local r_pkg_prepare.pl now also creates an index.html file. I will further
work on that to make it an optional behaviour and then commit my changes.

What this also means is that just because I needed a server for my build
process, we (technically) also have a server for you all ... mine. Well, for
the folks runnign sparc and only being interested in CRAN - raise your hands
out there :o) Anybody interested in alpha testing, at least the _all packages
should work, please send me an email to learn about the URL.

Cheers,

Steffen
