Package: electrum
Version: 1.9.8-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Adding special characters is not possible in Electrum via a keyboard shortcut (<ctrl> <shift> <u>), since it will clear the contents of the field. I've noticed this in both the field for a transaction description and contact details. The use of a special character is however possible in both cases, although it requires copy-pasting it from somewhere else. This is at the very least inconsistent with the behavior of similar applications.
