[Pkg-bitcoin-devel] groestlcoin

I'm assuming Groestlcoin is similar to Bitcoin etc. in that changes do
happen periodically on the network -- soft forks, etc.

This makes cryptocurrencies inappropriate for inclusion in stable releases.
See this message thread from 2013:
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-motu/2013-December/007597.html
And these Ubuntu bugs:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bitcoin/+bug/1260602
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/litecoin/+bug/1267088
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bitcoin/+bug/1314616
And finally, the Debian bug that (AIUI) blocks Bitcoin from testing:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=718272

Unless there's some difference that means the rationale used for Bitcoin
isn't applicable to this case, IMO the same things should be done.

And I thought I was sending the original email to the ML. I must have
mistapped.
