A developers' overview is here: https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/bitcoin
That page lists maintainers, and which releases was made by whom. It
also links to source package of newest release for each Debian suite.
To fetch a source package, check "debget" or "dget" or "debcheckout"
(all part of devscripts, I think), or "gbp import-dscs --debsnap" (from
git-buildpackage).
NB! Please consider change writing style to comment _below_ quoted
parts, and quote only the parts you comment: That style is more common
on Debian mailinglists and best if we use same style (no need to defend
your personal writing style - my concern is _general_ needs _here_)
