So you found the most up-to-date git work, and the most up-to-date
released packages. They are not aligned, but they need not be for you
to have material to base your forked packaging on, I guess.

Thanks. I suggest to additionally delete the parts unrelated to what
you comment on: All subscribers of the list already have previous
correspondence (and newcomers can consilt the archive), so use quoted
text only to directly support the new thing you want to say.

Do you offer to help maintain the existing Bitcoin package here?
If you are talking about how to bootstrap a package _based_ on existing
Bitcoin package, then please try rephrase your question - I don't quite
follow what your plan is, and how you are lost in that plan of yours.
