Hello,

any insight on this? To me it looks like a compiler bug, so I'm going
to ask debian-mips and/or debian-gcc for help, but perhaps you know
something I neglected so far...

BTW, I initially thought this bug could be circumvented via lowering
the optimization, yet it seems my assumption was plainly wrong.
