Not only that, I've also added some minor adjustments, and right now
I'm happily uploading 2.42-1 into the archives. :)

Oh, and with all the authority I have (which is close to non-existant,
though) I hereby proclaim Antonio the Debian blender developer of the
month. Without your patch, Antonio, I probably wouldn't even have
started to work on this. You've finely sorted out the Python
transition as well as the new build system, thanks a lot for this!

You see, guys, my individual problem is that I'm pretty distracted
recently, furthermore I'm stuck with a rather outdated box for
working, so using / compiling blender is painfully slow.
But with help such as yours I can go on, and be it only by giving a
well-done packaging my last blessing by simply uploading it.

My next plans include pinging the submitters of #364002, #325222,
#349649, #361861 and #371829 and asking them to check whether the new
release resolves their respective issues. Please feel free to add any
work / pointers / whatever you'd like.
