Yes, scary indeed. Since 2.40-1 mips{,el} fails to build due to this
compiler error. Apparently gcc 4.2.0 20060508 works, but so far we are
stuck.

Additionally, blender now also FTBFS on m68k with another ICE. I have
just reported this issue to the 68k porters.
