[Pkg-blender-maintainers] about blender-2.44

Hi!
I'm Catalin and i use only debian about one year.

I use blender-2.44-linux-glibc232-py24-i386-static from blender.org
I have some problems to you:
1. the blender from your packages is old
2. the blender-2.44-linux-glibc232-py24-i386-static work beter from my PC !
3. what i need to add this version "
blender-2.44-linux-glibc232-py24-i386-static" on your database package.
I want use simple "apt-get install blender" and use blender-2.44

I use AMD 1700 + , FX 5200  and debian :
Distributor ID: Debian
Description:    Debian GNU/Linux 4.0r1 (etch)
Release:        4.0r1
Codename:       etch
