Well, anyway, I guess that I see more or less what kind of bug it is,
since I've got something like that too. Usually, it might be a X driver
bug.

Could you please provide some info about your X configuration please?
You could also have a look at /usr/share/doc/blender/README.Debian,
where some clues are given.
There are also several other related bugs (often, with severity set to
important, see [1]), you might want to provide more info in one of these
bugs, if your configuration matches.
