He has been responsive in the past, so maybe he's just busy if he's not
responded to you.

About pin helpers: I've had several requests in the past about not
requiring the GTK one.  The idea would be to make the pin helper a
virtual package, which was satisfied either by the GTK helper, or by a
new thing which we would write which echoed the contents
of /etc/bluetooth/pin whenever one was needed.
