Package: libbluetooth2
Version: 3.1-1
Severity: important

After upgrading to libbluetooth2 bluetooth devices are no longer
activated correctly. Both, a TDK PCMCIA Card ('go blue') as well as
a D-Link DBT-122 USB-adaptor do no longer work.

I had this problem already some weeks ago, but downgrading to
libbluetooth1 (including a few other dependent packages) solved the
problem. After the last upgrade downgrading is too complicated since
too many packages are on a newer version now.

This is what happens after inserting the D-Link DBT-122 USB-Adaptor:
Messages in /var/log/messages:
Aug 8 22:16:19 localhost kernel: usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 9
Aug 8 22:16:19 localhost kernel: usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

Normally, here a popup box saying 'KBluetoothD Bluetooth adaptor found'
should appear which is no longer the case...

In contrast, the bluetooth icon from kdebluetooth in the KDE control panel
disappears and any attempt to use the bluetooth device fails, e.g.
  # hcitool scan
Device is not available: No such device
or trying to use a mobile phone as modem:
  # pppd call gprs
Failed to open /dev/rfcomm0: No route to host

(The bluetooth device also fails when called from plain console terminals
without KDE running so kdebluetooth is likely not the problem.)

After unplugging the bluetooth USB device the box 'KBluetoothD
Bluetooth adaptor found' pops up at the same time as the box with the
message 'KBluetoothD Bluetooth adaptor was unplugged'

Basically the same things happen also with the TDK PCMCIA Bluetooth Card.
So I cannot use my bluetooth devices any more :-(
