Not sure I understand what you mean by "experimental", but the plugin is
from the bluez package in testing, and active in the default
configuration, I believe.

As stated above, the daemon fails to start, or does not initalise
correctly, and bluetooth is unusable. hciconfig does not show any devices.
(Unless there is some other unrelated problem that is causing this...)
