A bit more details on this:

First, bluetoothd fails to talk to D-Bud:

Second, it used to work before last upgrade, but unfortunately 
I cannot recall which vresion that was. So this is a regression.

Third, hcitool and friends do not work either (the MAC is my phone
which is on, BT on, and 50 cm from rigel)::

Fourth, the version in squeeze works fine. This is what its hcitool says:
