Hi,
I don't know whether this mailing list is also for asking questions and if
not, would you be so kind as to point me to a proper location?
I have an Asus USB BT400 Bluetooth adapter (ID 0b05:17cb) and I have a Jabra
MOTION (bluetooth) headset and I'd like to use that to make calls over the
internet.
I have them paired and trusted, but for some reason it doesn't show up in
PulseAudio so it very much looks like I can't use my Jabra device for VoIP.
After having found an article on the Arch wiki [1] and reading release notes
of both bluez5 and pulseaudio5 I thought that it wouldn't work.
Since apparently HSP/HFP needed to be implemented in ofono I filed a bug
report, hoping to resolve this situation [2].
And then I found this mailing list and in one of the messages I read that the
combination of bluez5 and pulseaudio5 should work.
So now I am wondering whether I am doing something wrong or my config is wrong
somehow or ...
Note that I'm quite new to both bluetooth and pulseaudio, so it wouldn't
surprise me if I did something wrong.
I am not new to Debian (administration) though.
I'm using Debian Sid with KDE and have some packages from experimental
installed. Since bluedevil seem to behave strangely/inconsistent I'm now using
CLI tools only.
I hope you can help me determine whether it just won't work or (better) to
help me correctly configure my bluetooth so that I can use my headset to make
calls over the internet.
Cheers,
Diederik
