To the best of my knowledge, there is no progress yet.  The plan at the moment 
is to delay boost transition until after gcc-5 becomes the default in testing. 
This is because gcc-5 introduces dual-abi (03 & 11) libstdc++ and we will 
default to 11 abi then.
