Package: chromium-browser
Version: 9.0.587.0~r66374-1
Severity: normal
When I attempted to download a PDF today, Chromium warned me that PDFs
may be potentially unsafe. While I understand that many current
security problems have to do with exploiting Adobe Reader, I use evince
(and don't even have Reader installed), and therefore am no more likely
to have my computer be exploited by a PDF than I am by a .doc file.
If Chromium wants to warn about PDFs if Adobe Reader is installed,
that's fine, but I don't want it to warn me when it's not. And
furthermore, there's no option to switch off this useless warning.
Please modify it accordingly or extirpate it altogether.
