Ah, so it is probably acroread that allowed you to view it in
iceweasel. Judging from AdobeReader_ita-8.1.7-1.i386.deb it installs
the plugin under ~/.mozilla/plugins, which based on
webkit/plugins/npapi/plugin_list_posix.cc I would imagine that chromium
does look at.
When acroread is installed, does it should up in your about:plugins?
(By the way, thanks for the pointer to epdfview! I had been waiting
to find something like that.)
